Mappy Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 13, 2026

Mappy is a journey-planning application. This policy explains how the current Mappy release handles information.

Location information

Mappy may process approximate or precise location when you choose current location, search for places, calculate a route, check route weather, find nearby parking, or save a journey spot. Location access is optional. You may deny or revoke it in Android settings and enter locations manually.

Live service providers

Coordinates and search terms may be transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections to map, geocoding, routing, weather, parking, or external directions providers. These may include OpenStreetMap-related services, Nominatim, OSRM, Overpass, Open-Meteo, and Google Maps when you choose an external directions link. Their own privacy terms may apply.

Information stored on the device

Saved scenic places, journey spots, hidden markers, and temporary road notes are stored locally on your device. Mappy does not currently upload these items to a Mappy account or community server. You can delete this local information by clearing Mappy's app data or uninstalling the app.

Accounts, payments, advertising, and analytics

The current release does not require an account, collect payment, display advertising, use an advertising ID, or include an analytics SDK. Mappy Plus is a preview and cannot be purchased in this release.

Safety

Map, route, parking, weather, transit, traffic estimates, and road information may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Future traffic estimates are planning predictions and are not live traffic data. Do not interact with Mappy while operating a vehicle. Follow official alerts, road signs, local laws, and safe-driving practices.

Children

Mappy is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated as Mappy adds accounts, cloud sharing, billing, or other services. Contact the developer using the support email displayed on Mappy's Google Play listing for privacy, deletion, or safety questions.
